The current rumour coming out of Stevenage is that Mitchell Cole is on his way to the Abbey, asnd Ling has made an approach for the left-sided winger.

A good player, but very injury prone. We will have to wait and see.

In other news, a new home kit will be revealed - along with a new kit supplier, some-time in the week! Season ticket sales have also hit 1,200! Keep it up.

Blackpool wee relegated from Division One, and Cambridge managed to hold in and beat the drop.

Since then Blackpool have managed to fight back and secure yet another year in the premier league earning them the biggest payout for any football game in the world.

We have gone downhill ever since, going from our highest position of 5th in what is now the Championship in 1992, to last years 10th in the Conference. That's from a established League cub, to non-league - facing administration on the way.

Some would as that the poor judgement of our own board over the last few years has been our downfall. A board that sold our own asset, the Abbey Stadium to seek exit of administration in 2004. Now we pay over £250k rent a year - on a ground we should rightly own ourselves.

The same has happened to Luton, Mansfield and many teams still to come. The FA don't protect those that drop out, Cambridge have just released there whole Under 13's age group - mainly due to saving money.

It seems on the up now though. With Martin Ling adamant to reduce our playing budget, all but 1 of his signings have been free's and playing football the right way. We have a fanbase better than most in our league and they deserve better. CFU have a big input on the club at the moment and that also helps. We have a Chairman who has brought our debt back to £0 with the banks and a new landlord who appears to be friendlier than our last.

Danny Wright (Striker) and Danny Naisbitt (Keeper) have joined United on 2 year deals, making he swtich from Local rivals Histon.

Simon Russell also has signed a new 2 year deal at the Abbey.
